Part 70: Zarghidas Trade City

I was stuck here for days man, days.


One of these battles has ninjas, if getting free ninjas is your interest.

Damn thing hasn't been updated in a decade so I don't think it'll ever be fixed.


Then there's this and this is rightly the scariest image in the entire LP.


Eventually we get to the rare battle, a gang war between Behemoths (and Zoidberg! Don't forget Zoidberg!) and Bull Demons, with a goblin buddy. The Bull Demons are undermanned, underleveled, and just worse than Behemoths.

They're our guests. None of them will make it.


Mostly because Behemoths are brutal if they can get in range.


So, yeah, they get killed.


Ramza's a thief right now, Beowulf doesn't have Teleport yet, the girls suck at it, and Agrias still has Move on Lava. It takes us a moment to get started


[x]Punched a demon
[x]Threw axe at clergy
[x]Aroused a behemoth
[ ]Convince a demon to not believe in himself.

Ramza's bucket list is about done!


Bahamut's incantation. Graphical glitch or no, it produces results. It kills a lot of behemoths (and Zoidberg! Don't forget Zoidberg!) and pretty much ends the battle.


Probably the hardest finding a rare battle has been. Still, it's no match for the war against the RNG that is Germinas Peak.


I do get tired of Teleport failing, so Ramza will rock Move+2 for a while.

The battle at Zarghidas Trade City is open! It's the long-belated end to all this stuff involving shit Besrodio found.


Only four people. I blame cutscenes.


Cloud is walking through the slums of the once-prosperous city.


Cloud stares at the girl.



: No... it's nothing.

Cloud walks off.


But then-


She is assailed on all sides by ruffians!

: W, What?



: Selling flowers for your mom? Good for you.
: Ten more days... No, just wait a week, please.


He grabs Aeris by her throat!

: I'm gonna get my 30000 gil, one way or another!
: Let... go of me!
: Hmm, pretty good looking!


The ruffian and one of his henchmen laugh at the idea.



: What did you say?
: Didn't you hear me? Get your dirty hand off her!




Cloud shoves the ruffian off!

: Go... now...


But one of Cloud's headaches starts!

: Who the hell are you?



: Damn! Eaaggh!!


Aeris has long since escaped, leaving us to save Cloud.


These guys are a bit high level, but otherwise just some generics.


Cloud's well equipped, but level 1 and weaponless and ability-less. He's completely useless but thankfully the AI mostly ignores him and he hides due to his own incompetency.


Not that that matters, I go for brutalization.




This battle is over in a jiffy.

: Cloud...there's someone in your world waiting for you. We might be able to send you back where you came from by using the stone's power.

And so Cloud joins us. At level 1. With barely any JP. And no abilities.

And you know what? If you put in aaallll the effort to make him work, he ends up average because Limit just isn't that good.

No one said cameos were pleasant.
